800SmartOne.com 1-800-Smart-One is a great service whenever you're on the road! It combines the latest in voice recognition technology with any phone and lets you personalize your account via the Web. In a nutshell, it works like this: from anywhere, call the toll-free number. After you log in using your ID and PIN, you can call anybody you wish or access personalized info simply by using your voice. For instance, merely say "call home" and it forwards your call to your house. Or, check on the local weather or stocks in your portfolio. This means you'll never need to carry people's phone numbers or change with you again! The Web component (we built) allows users to create their address book from scratch or synchronize the info from their Palm or PC. Additionally, you can define your weather settings, create a list of stocks to track, authorize additional users to use your account (groups), view your calling history, and so on. The site includes full e-commerce capabilities, dynamic pages, forms, and flat content. The design was provided by the client. In addition to the Web site, we created several admin utilities that allow the client to run reports, view usage statistics, created them a very sophisticated billing engine, utilities to manage users, the ability to create gift codes and billing plans, plus the ability to set up distributors (with all the billing issues that come with that). The site was designed to be extremely modular and has been used to create personalized versions for Fortune 500 companies and other applications.
