Commerce

There are a million different ways to "do" e-commerce. How long do you want your cart to last? Do you want to be able to remember users' profiles? Do you want to process credit cards online? Do you need to integrate the orders with an existing POS system? What kind of reporting do you need? Do you want to send confirmation emails? Order tracking? Quantity discounts? You get the point. MostlyWeb has "done" e-commerce just about any which way you can think of.

We believe in crawling before you walk. So for those clients who are new to the Internet arena, we may suggest setting up a Yahoo store (or something similar) before creating them e-commerce functionality of their own. Or sometimes we create a simple site that stores the orders in a database but relies on manual processing to complete an order. This approach helps our 'new' clients determine what to expect from the Web and gives them the information they need to decide on final e-commerce implementation.

For our larger customers, integrating the Web orders with their existing accounting and inventory systems is usually a bigger deal than creating their shopping cart and online ordering functionality. MostlyWeb has successfully integrated several e-commerce sites with all the top accounting and inventory management systems.
